Are you looking for something to do with a jelly roll you purchased some time ago?  This is the perfect project.  One jelly roll will make 4 attractive placemats.  Another idea is to use up all the surplus pieces of binding fabric you’ve been saving for years.  This project doesn’t require a pattern, it’s just a sewing technique that I will share with you.  In addition to your sewing machine, rotary cutter and basic sewing supplies, you will need:

1 jelly roll (or the equivalent in surplus 2 1/2" binding ~46 yds)

1 ¼ yd fusible fleece

3/8 yd coordinating fabric for binding
